DIY: Monogrammed Christmas Wreath

Now that all the turkey has been eaten, it's time to start decorating for Christmas! The weekend after Thanksgiving has always been the start of the Christmas season for my family. Even though I live on my own now, I still continue this tradition. I saw this cute wreath idea on Pinterest courtesy of eddieross.com. It is a really simple and the outcome is gorgeous.

Happy Thanksgiving

Port Aransas, TX

This year we decided to go down to the beach for Thanksgiving which was a pretty brilliant idea. Since the condo has a smaller kitchen, my mom prepared the sides and pumpkin butter bars at home. On Wednesday, she put the turkey in a brining bag to let it sit over night. I was in charge of the pumpkin pie, so I made that Wednesday night.

A Gift for A Friend: Mod Podge, Tile, & A Shadow Box

As most of you know, Missoni swept through Target like a whirlwind last month. My mom managed to swipe me some wall art: a Missoni printed tile in a shadow box. This cute simple art sparked a present idea. One of my besties had a birthday this weekend and I thought this would be the perfect gift. We have been best friends for as long as I can remember and she recently posted this photo of us backstage at a church musical we were both in when we were kids. I knew it would be the perfect photo.
